Also state-of-the-art on the technical side, using Celery and Celery Beat for scheduling, while assets are managed and minified with Grunt. And of course all done using the Django Framework.
We implemented the following techniques for this project:
Django is an advanced web application framework, written in Python. Django incorporates a great number of features, enabling developers to develop websites and web applications very quickly and efficiently. We save our clients time and money by getting up to speed quickly using Django.
A sophisticated interface most often comes at the cost of complexity, and with this complexity comes the added possibilty of errors. Which of course no-one wants. Django Web Studio tackles this problem by using state-of-the-art tools such as SASS, LESS and Grunt.
ElasticSearch is a powerful indexer and search engine based on Apache Solr. We use ElasticSearch where the requirement is to search the website as one would search in Google.
Django Web Studio uses the interface framework Bootstrap to be able to build responsive web interfaces quickly and efficiently. Note the word "responsive". Modern websites are equally usable on a smartphone, tablet and desktop, laptop and notebook.
Distributed Task Queuing is used for scheduled tasks, such as automating the generation of RSS feeds, scheduled data imports, or any other task that should not or must not occur in real time. In Django projects, the task runner Celery is used most often.
This is an interface framework similar in functionality to Bootstrap, although Foundation was earlier to arrive on the scene of the responsive mobile-first frameworks. Both sport the grid system, with which interface implementations can be done with more ease and reliability. For some things, Foundation is just a little bit better.
